The obvious "popular" characters- Mario/Luigi (people from Mario Party and/or SSB). Dragonball stuff.
You know what -might- be "in"? GOLDEN SUN. That game was SO AWESOME. (You played my copy once, right?) And they've just announced a third installment for the DS coming in the nearer future. DJINNs are cutesy. The only problem is that it might not be as recognizable and widespread in popularity.

Hmm- actually dragonball shit's a really good idea specifically... as are Mario chars and the likes. I already have a Yoshi sketched out, but maybe another one or two of em' would be good?

Well, Golden Sun for DS is coming out 2010 so it's not too far off. I could've sworn we went for a really long drive somewhere, to some fair or something, and I showed you the game. Oh well. You should look up what a Djinn looks like, though.
