Description
Gift for andMatt and Clumsy Smurf both get Brainy Smurf to come cowboy camping with them in the Smurf Forest. Including some elements and jokes borrowed from the SpongeBob SquarePants episodes, "The Camping Episode" and "Graveyard Shift".

This also reminds me of a scene from "Star Trek V: The Final Frontier" where Capt. Kirk, Dr. McCoy and Spock are around a campfire. Jim and Bones are singing "Oh Susannah" with gusto, while Spock looks at them stoically before finally joining in... logically.

(singing) Let's gather 'round the campfire and sing our campfire song

(Clumsy starts moving back and forth along with the music. He then puts an arm around Brainy, making him move along, too.)
Matt: And if you don't think that we can sing it faster, then you're wrong, but it'll help if you just sing along...
Clumsy: Bum bum bum....
Matt: (sings faster, with Clumsy struggling to keep up)

Matt:

Matt: (points to Brainy) Brainy!
Brainy just sat there, looking unamused.
Matt: Good! It'll help...(Matt and Clumsy are now playing rock band instruments) it'll help if you just sing along!
Matt smashes his guitar and Clumsy smashes a drum on top of him.
Matt: OH YEAH!!!

Brainy: Relaxing? That was the most craziest song I ever heard.

Matt: No, wait! (grabs Brainy's book from him) I... don't think this is a good idea. How about we tell "campfire stories" instead?
Brainy: What? How are "campfire stories" going to have to do with "Quotations"?

Matt: They won't. We'll just need this...(shines a flashlight over his face)...for the scary effects. And we'll smurf the rest.

Brainy: (sarcastic) Okay, then. What kind of "campfire story" are you going to tell us?

Clumsy: Gosh, I hope is isn't too scary....

Clumsy: Oh, good.

Matt: Now, it all started deep in the forest....

Brainy: (sarcastic, muttering) Oh, great.

Clumsy: (whispers to Brainy) This is gettin' good already, huh, Brainy?

Matt: A Smurf was walking through the forest when he saw a huge shadow, even bigger than Gargamel. About 10 times his size.

Brainy Smurf: (confused, muttering) Ten times?

Matt: But, the Smurf never noticed the shadow, because he was too busy picking smurfberries, as any Smurf would normally do.

Cut to close-up of Matt Smurf's eyes.

He squints a little.

Cut to Brainy in shock.

Matt: Do you know what happens next?
Clumsy: (scared) U-uh...
Matt: The shadow creeps up and....
Cut to Brainy and Clumsy holding onto each other, shaking with fear.
Matt: He GETS HIM!!!

Brainy is still in shock and then squints his eyes as unamused, and covers Clumsy's mouth before he screams.
Brainy: A shadow? You call that "scary"?

Matt: (smug) What? You got a scarier story, Mr. Smarty Smurf?

Brainy Smurf: Oh...no, no, no, I probably shouldn't. It would ruin cowboy camping for you. [gives a sympathetic look, then smiles slyly]
Matt Smurf: What? What do I know?
Brainy Smurf: You mean you've never heard the story of the [thinks] "Berry-Smurfing Smurfer?"

Matt Smurf: [begging] Tell us the story!
Clumsy Smurf: Uh, yeah!
Brainy Smurf: Years ago in the Smurf Village, the Berry-Smurfing Smurfer used to be a Smurf warrior - just like you (points at Matt Smurf) - only clumsier than (pans right to point at Clumsy Smurf) Clumsy Smurf.
Clumsy Smurf: (scared) Gosh.

Brainy: And, then, one night, when he was picking the smurfberries....it happened.

Matt Smurf: He forgot to gather the sarsaparilla leaves?
Brainy Smurf: No.

Matt Smurf: Irregular portions?

Brainy: NO! He smurfed his own hand off by mistake!

Matt Smurf: [screams] Oh, no! [he and Clumsy hold onto each other in fright]
Brainy Smurf: And he replaced his hand with a rusty claw.

Brainy: (cont.) And then, he got smurfed over by a bus! And during his funeral, they banished him from the village!

Brainy Smurf: So now, every...what day is it?
Matt Smurf: Tuesday.
Brainy Smurf: Tuesday night, his ghost returns to the Smurf Village to wreak his horrible vengeance.
Matt Smurf: [gasps] But tonight's Tuesday night!
Brainy Smurf: Then he'll be coming.
Matt Smurf: How will we know?
Brainy Smurf: There are three signs that signal the approach of the Berry-Smurfing Smurfer.

Brainy: First, the lights in our houses will flicker on and off. Next, Harmony's trumpet will blow, but he won't be there. And finally, the Berry-Smurfing Smurfer will arrive to Smurf Village in the ghost of the bus that ran him over!

Brainy Smurf [cont.]: Then he exits the bus and enters the Smurf forest without looking both ways because he's already dead! [Cut to both Matt and Clumsy Smurf eating and sharing their popcorn together] Once he enters the village, he will tap on the window of a Smurf's home or snap with his grizzly claw hand at you..
Clumsy Smurf: [shudders]
Matt Smurf: [in shock] No.
Brainy Smurf: He opens the door to a Smurf's home [pushes his hand to Matt and Clumsy Smurf's faces, making it looking like he's a door that's being opened; while doing this he imitates the sound of a squeaky door opening. leans towards Matt and Clumsy Smurf's faces, which sinks in] He slowly approaches the bed ["bed" echoes menacingly] ...and you know what he does next?
Matt Smurf: What? [Clumsy hides behind Matt]
Brainy Smurf: You really want to know?
Matt Smurf: What?
Brainy Smurf: Are you sure you want to know?
Matt Smurf: What, what, what does he do?!
Brainy Smurf: [sneaks up on Matt and Clumsy Smurf, taps them] He gets ya! [Matt and Clumsy Smurf both now scream together repeatedly for about 20 seconds while Brainy Smurf is laughing] Smurfs... [continues screaming] Smurfs, I wa... [screaming continues] I was ju... [Both Matt and Clumsy Smurf's pupils are now screaming too, in split screen for one side each, Matt's pupil on the left and Clumsy's pupil on the right] I was jus... [screaming continues] Smurfs, I was joking!
Matt Smurf: What?
Clumsy Smurf: Huh?
Brainy Smurf: It's not true! None of it's true!
Matt and Clumsy Smurf: [unison] It's not?
Brainy Smurf: Of course not. Nosmurf has a claw for a hand. It was all a joke.

Matt and Clumsy: (unison) Ooooohhhhh.....
Matt and Clumsy both start to laugh.

[Brainy Smurf is unamused. Cut into later in the night.]
[Brainy Smurf is shown awake reading one of his Quotations. Brainy Smurf hears spooky noises and feels water dripping on him from the trees, but he doesn't know what it is. He decides to ignore it. He suddenly hears groaning.]
Brainy Smurf: [screams] What was that?
[He turns to see that the sound was only Matt and Clumsy groaning while they are sleeping in their comfy tent.]
Brainy Smurf: [says to himself] Pfft! Cowboy camping outside with Matt and Clumsy. What a stupid idea! Who wants smurfberries at three in the morning?
[cuts to Greedy Smurf's bedroom]

Greedy's alarm clock goes off and he wakes up.
Greedy: Oh, boy, 3 am!
Greedy shoves a handful of smurfberries in his mouth.
