Good Smurf (off-screen): Uh, no. That's who I am.
We zoom out to see a normal Smurf named Good Smurf, who is standing at the left looking at Matt and Brainy.

Matt: Oh, um, my mistake, Good Smurf.
Good Smurf: Thank you.
Good Smurf walks away off-screen.

Brainy: (asks Matt) What was that all about?

Clumsy then walks up to them.
Clumsy: Uh, hiya, Brainy! Matt! What's smurfin' on?

Matt: Just telling him the difference between following directions and doing what they want.

Clumsy: And, uh, how do ya do that?

Matt: By caring more about fellow Smurfs and helping them, instead of doing things your own way.

Clumsy: Oh. That's a smurfy idea, Matt! (Giggles) Yup!

Brainy: Wait a minute! You mean that's what you do, instead of lecturing other Smurfs?
Matt: That's how it is, Brains!

Brainy: Hmm, I might as well give it a try, then, after all what could possibly go wrong?

Matt: Only one problem. No one ever taught you how to fix things. You're as clumsily equal as Clumsy.

Brainy and Clumsy share a glance. Brainy then looked back to Matt.
Brainy: Excuse me, what?!
Matt: Everytime you try to ask for help, it never smurfs right. Kind of like how Clumsy tries to help others.

Brainy: Wait! Are you saying I'm inexperienced?

Matt: Well, yes and no. You always want to help, which is kind of a good thing, but you would rather follow your own plans than to listen to others' instructions, making them not want your help.

Brainy: (shocked) What?! Why?!?
Matt:Β Because all you do is lecture, criticize and aggravate Smurfs and Smurflings about them not doing your own thing until they go nuts and toss you out of and/or chase you through the village. (angry)Β NoneΒ of which makes for a decent community!

Brainy: I can't believe what I'm hearing! And I thought that I, Brainy Smurf, was actually going to listen to your advice! But, I proved myself wrong!
Clumsy: Uh, Brainy? Don't ya think that was a bit harsh?
Brainy: Not now, Clumsy!

Matt: Don't worry, Clumsy. He'll be back. He's just going through his emotional issues right now.

Clumsy: Yeah...gosh, I hope he's alright....
Meanwhile, we fade to where Brainy was in his mushroom house, with an annoyed scowl on his face.

We see Brainy's flashbacks in thought clouds above Brainy.

The first one was about the time where Brainy got kicked out of the village when he asked Handy to help repair his inventions.

The second one was Brainy getting kicked out of the village after ruining Greedy's smurfberry cupcake recipe.

The third one was about Brainy being kicked out of the village for almost exploding Papa Smurf's lab by getting an ingredient wrong in one of his potions.

Clumsy walks by and sees Brainy crying on his desk. Brainy didn't see him, though. Clumsy then turns away, having trouble deciding if he should talk to Brainy or not.

Matt: Hi, Clumsy. Is Brainy still sulking?

Clumsy: Uh, yeah. An' he's startin' ta cry, too....

Matt: Here, let me talk to him.
Matt knocks on Brainy's door and opened it.
Matt: Hey, champ. Sorry for blowing up at you earlier. I just wanted to help you change your behavior for the better.
Brainy: No, Matt. You were right about me. I'm no good at helping other Smurfs. Except taking care of Baby Smurf. And didn't I mention the Smurflings? (thinks about them) Oh, those little tykes.
Matt: Nonsense. You're the best intellectual in the village. And the only way to be good at helping other Smurfs is to have patience.
