Description
Papa Smurf revives his interest in art - he once did a painting of an old elf friend of his 442 years ago (named Jacob) - and Bullrush (king of the Wartmongers) commissions the wise blue-skinned leader to do a portrait of him, depicting him as a beautiful person. However, after he has insulted Brainy's intelligence, the painting shows him nude, though Papa explains that he intended to show his vulnerability as a frail old toad and Bullrush is highly impressed.Notes:
- The premise is based off of a Simpsons episode entitled "Brush with Greatness", albeit with an original twist.
- Although Baby and the Smurflings are mentioned, they don't appear anywhere in this episode.
- Set during the Season 5-8 timeline of the 1980s Hanna-Barbera cartoon show.
- This episode reveals that Painter Smurf is not the only artist in Smurf Village.
