Description
This is just my opinion on both series; the comics and 1981 TV series are superior in storytelling and have a certain charm. The 2021 series, on the other hand, often tries way too hard to be "hip" with the kids, focuses on toilet humor and flanderized a number of characters (such as turning Smurfette into a Mary Sue who knows martial arts). Despite its problems, it has some good ideas going for it (such as the Vanity/Jokey friendship and Brainy becoming a Nice Guy who is caring and actually smart).
