Description
B 29 Stratofortress heavy bomber. It was pressurized - for the first time. It had a vacuum tube "computer" that allowed the gunner to stay inside and operate the machine guns on the outside by remote control. ULTRA HIGH TECH for 1942
This relic is in the National Museum of the USAF

If you look at it, you can see the overall look of the cockpit of Star Wars' Han Solo's, the Millenium Falcon.

Note: USAF Museum also has Bock's Car which dropped an atomic bomb on Nagasaki, Japan. It's in good physical shape.
Disgusting note: The Smithsonian was given Enola Gay which dropped the bomb on Hiroshima --- They let it fall apart. Inexcusable.
WORSE: Smithsonian redid only the front part of the cockpit and then put up signs saying WWII was OUR fault!!!!!! What???? Pearl Harbor was our fault?? Thousands of Americans died in one day - December 7, 1942 - in a few hours - in a sneaky surprise first-attack by the Japanese who were taking over island after island like locusts --- because WE started war?
Smithsonian should no longer be given precious things.
