I'm really interested in Your opinion! I did a little change on an old "Alien"-fanart, because I was never completly happy with it. I try it again with a more cartoony version in hope, that the expression would be better and it's more comfortable for the motive, when it don't looks too serious. But maybe I'm wrong - what Do You think? (sorry for my english

I really like the director of Alien 4, a French director Jean Pierre Jenuet. Delicatessen, City of missing children - its great and psychodelic, I fuckin love it!
Of course I like Fincher movies, Fight Club, Seven, The game it beauti-fuckin-full kino!

I prefer more the right. She looks less like a comic character, but both are good painted.

I am not sure what the feeling or goal was of the piece overall so i cannot say completely, however i think i liked the one on the right more because it seemed to fit the overall level of detail and realism that i see in the alien. I am perhaps wrongly assuming in all of this that that light in the center is in the background and not a reflective highlight on the aliens wet/shiny skin.Β Β Based on that assumption though things also become a little bit confusing visually as the alien seems to be at least partially back lit while the lady seems to be covered with more light from the front if not all over. Therefor i think the fact the woman is receiving a more pronounced and all over lighting is confusing my eye a little, unless maybe the alien is a spirit or something.
I like the painterly values in both pieces a lot.

Thank You for Your opinion. Yes, there are some points why I never was happy with the motive and You named some of them, but it was okay for me to experiment with it. There wasn't many things to broke, so I tried the styles with the head and I saw the mistakes. I like the idea of the two bold heads, but You're correct, the Alien should be more cartoony, too. Maybe sometime...

Dunno - each tells a different story somehow and there is no way to tell which is actually ´´better´´. The left one is maybe more badass, on the other hand the right one has vibrant contrast. I guess it depends what you actually wanted to express, for me they both works great

Wich one? It depends what you want to express. Toon girl looks like obsessed by something, immerced in her "way". Real girl pretend to dominate over her friend - such predatory gaze. Alien looks discontent.

The right! The left is like...an exaggeration of all the things Western society loves to emphasize in women. Big lips, big eyes, tiny nose, severely arched eyebrows...she looks like a parody of a woman. I find it an impossible image to relate to. But the one on the right is much more interesting and unique.

left one got a little tilt of a head that adds emotion and interest (for me), but it's too cartoony for my taste... and right one looking for unicorns in aliens mouth... at least I got one friend that looks like that each time she's searching for unicorns )))

I rather like the cartoonish look, but her head (on the left) is definitely too big for her body. I'd say somewhere between the two but I prefer the one on the left better, esp. her mouth. Really nice work.

The right one. I don't have a problem with baldness, but the head of the left one is cartoonish, way too big (her neck looks like it's gonna broke any second now) and out of place. And in the picture on the right, there is some sort of interesting intimacy (not in a sexual sense), while the one on the left is kind of cocky, provoking, bit too sexual for me.Β

Yes, I regret it a little bit, that I didn't cut of the hair. It would't be the old picture anymore, but bold girls would make more sense in reference to the Alien-Head. One of my new knowledges: first think, then paint!
