I'm really interested in Your opinion! I did a little change on an old "Alien"-fanart, because I was never completly happy with it. I try it again with a more cartoony version in hope, that the expression would be better and it's more comfortable for the motive, when it don't looks too serious. But maybe I'm wrong - what Do You think? (sorry for my english
)

The one in the right side is excellent as it represents two different themes, but one problem in it is the space on the lady's forehead where the lights are directed at; more hair should be added. Overall it is great.

I prefer the left side. it is less realistic, but more expressive. Also, the bald head is more in keeping with the Alien theme.

I feel the Alien itself isn't cartoony enough to work with the one on the left. They are both beautiful, regardless. But the one on the right is paired better. In my opinion.

Yes, a cartoon-version of the alien could use less details.

Im a big fan of toons. Always love them, they often express things much more vividly and growing up with an autistic brother it made watching shows with him much easier when the expressions were crazy and out there.
Both of these are gorgeous, but I prefer the right one more.Β
The left ones neck is very long and with lack of hair looks rather odd to me. I love the eyes of it and the pure expression to it. Its affectionate in a motherly way with a bit of cocky sass.
The right one she looks more sad and focused. Looks to me like shes preparing for suicide. Idk thats just me, her eyes are dark often a portrayal of evil or sadness.Β
Overall I prefer the face to the left one, but the nakedness of it bothers me a bit. Im not sure why.

I'll go with right, also. The xenomorph isn't cartoony enough to work with the cartoony human of the left version. The overall effect of the right version is more consistent. Plus, I prefer more realistic renderings, generally.

I like looking at the one on the right better. It's just more pleasing to me. Her expression is gentler and her features aren't as extreme. I like it a lot. both are good pieces of art!

Personally, I like the right one. I think the smaller eyes and head full of hair makes it seem more... real.

I personally like the one on the right. I like the realism, I think it matches the depth and realism of the xenomorph much more than the one with the unrealistic characteristics.

the left one, seems to make the woman look almost as alien as the alien itself and she seems to treat it a bit like a child? While the right one seems more like she and the alien are lovers O.o and is having higher contrast between female features and alien.Β
Can't really decide which one I like more...of course the right one, the woman is more aesthetic, so I'm automatically drawn to it, but the left picture seems to be more interesting for it's uneasyness, it seems to tell:" something unnatural/weird is going on!"
while the right side is more sexual or should I say sexualized? Like alot of pictures I have seen from artists that portrait "monsters and maidens" (luis royo comes to mind XD)

left one - i like the old one more. the head of the women is more from
above, it's like she's in charge... in charge of that killer, that means a lot, imho.
then there's the bold, "naked" and "all open" theme, the hair-version has not...
it's a nice comparison/mataphor in my eyes. the cartoony style is no must for me,
but it works great here. i think you could also change it to a more serious/realistic version,
without losing all the pro's i mentioned above.

I like the right one more, partly because both the woman and the alien are realistic. If you want to go and make it cartoony, the alien has to be cartoony like the woman.
Besides that, great work! Love the painting style on both of these.

I like the one on the right better because the woman's face looks more natural, however, I also like the one on the left because her face is just a little bit higher than the alien's and that conveys some kind of power or control. I don't know if that is helpful at all :S

I think the lefthand version has a better pose and overall liveliness to the gal- but the righthand one has overall more consistent anatomy/styling.
Basically I'd like to see the 'more real' proportions in the lefthand pose.
