Gordon: "Years ago, back when Amanda and I worked on the LNER, our engines, the Flying Scotsman, and mine were painted green. it was all very well in its way, but now I prefer having my engine in blue. It makes it different you see, and its very important for an engine like mine."

Donald: "Well, back in Scotland, the engines on our line used tae be blue as well, but they seem dark as we are. Douggie and me never had our engines in blue, we had to have our engines in black, so blue makes a nice change."

Henry: "Well, I like my engine in green too, I hate to have a red engine like James'. People would think I drove a fire engine."

James *sarcastically* :"Haha.. very funny. At least people can see Rarity and I coming, and we don't disappear into the background like some engines I can mention. If it wasn't for the noise, your engine would need a yellow and black front, like Mavis'."

Rainbow Dash: "Good one James."

Rarity *giggles*: "I do find that kinda funny."

Narrator: Henry's protest was drowned out by the sound of everyone's laughter and so, he went to sleep, wondering how to pay James out.

Henry: "I'll make him pay for that comment."

Narrator: Next morning, as he got ready for his first train, he was still cross.

Stewardesses: "What can be wrong, what can be wrong?"

Henry: "Come along, come along!"

Narrator: They had a fast run, but it didn't improve his temper. He caused his engine to bump the coaches when they reached the terminus and again when they got ready for the return journey."

Fluttershy: 'Henry! Be careful or I'll give you the stare! Remember what happened to James all those years back?"

Henry: "Bug off Fluttershy, this doesn't concern you. I think I'd work better with someone else. You're just a timid woman who's constantly scared, not to mention, a terrible firewoman."

*Fluttershy tears up and runs off crying*

Narrator: Soon, Soarin' took over for Fluttershy, who stayed at Vicarstown until she could calm down and fastened the coupling. However, no one noticed a rattle from beneath the footplate of Henry's engine when he started. Henry's engine snorted away and soon the train was running well.

Henry: "Hurry, hurry, hurry."

Narrator: Faster and faster the train went, and at last, Henry began to feel better. Suddenly, he heard a crack from below the cab. Henry applied the brakes and shut off steam.

Henry: "Look out!"

Narrator: Soarin', the relief fireman scrambled across onto the footplate. He was just in time. Both Henry and Soarin' watched in horror as a widening gap formed between the engine and tender. Henry's engine stopped as soon as it could. Meanwhile, the automatic brake halted the tender and his train some way behind.

Henry: "We have to drop the fire. It'll be dangerous to let my engine boil dry. Since we can't get more water from the tender."

Narrator: Quickly, Soarin' agreed.

Soarin': "Sorry, just when we got it going nicely too. But if you hadn't upset Fluttershy, and banged about so much, you wouldn't have broken the tender coupling."

Narrator: So while Soarin dealt with the fire, Henry went back to tell the signalman what had happened. When he returned, he found his engine completely hidden in a cloud of black smoke which billowed from beneath the cab. Soarin choked as he returned.

Soarin' *coughs*: "That fire's set the sleepers a blaze. You stay here, I'm going to phone the fire-brigade."

Narrator: Henry eased his engine clear of the blaze. Then, Edward, who had both Octavia and Fluttershy in his engine's cab with him, took over for the train. Henry felt most uncomfortable, seeing his firewoman working with another crew. Some workmen fixed up a temporary coupling. They then rejoined his engine to its tender. Then, Henry and Soarin' lit a new fire and drove gently back to the yard. Edward, who had of course seen everything, told the others. They were all careful about what they talked about that night. As for Henry, he was touchy on the subject of fires for sometime afterwards. But, James was quick to notice from then on that Henry stopped making rude remarks about the color of fire engines.

*Henry walks up to Fluttershy*

Henry: "Hullo Fluttershy, may I speak to you?"

Fluttershy: "Y..yes.."

Henry: "Listen, I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings earlier today, I was just annoyed about what James had said, I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. You aren't a worthless firewoman, you're a good friend, and I wouldn't want anyone else beside me as my firewoman."

Fluttershy: "I accept your apology Henry.."

*the two hug and make up*
