Description
It's a good poem. It's here if you want to read: www.love-poems.me.uk/howitt_thβ¦If it doesn't work, look it up on Google.
Anyhoo, the fly is an original design but the spider is based on one of my already exisiting characters (who is not on here due to paranoia reasons...).
The Spider and the Fly (c) Mary Howitt
Art (c) me
UPDATE July 2015: I forgot I did this and, looking back on it, I have a slight soft spot for this piece so I'm moving it to scraps. I may revisit this at some point.

That fly is so darn cute! I remember reading the book of this by chance while I was on a security shift at the library on campus. Amazing art, and a darn good message. I've been tempted for a long time to do a gender reversed fan art of it since I have a bit of a soft spot for black widow spiders.
The spider reminds me a little bit of Ratigan with the top hat and fake gentleman act. I love this!

It is a very darn good message. Ooh, that should be really cool! Black widow spiders are awesome!!
I think Ratigan has nestled somewhere unknown in my brain...

I love that poem! I remember it being turned into this black-and-white story book that was simply gorgeous! But I'm loving your designs!!
Out of curiosity, what makes you so paranoid about posting more of the Spider on here?

Oh wow! I might have to look out for that book! And thanks!!
Well, you see, I have a whole bunch of characters as well as the spider and they have their own universe and everything. I have a crazy dream to get them on TV but I'm afraid that they'll get stolen or something similar will be made if I put them on here.

Ah, gotcha. I must admit, I'm keeping my own comic series a little hush-hush nowadays. That's totally fine! <3
And that dream isn't crazy at all! I wish you the best. x

Nice poem! It reminds me a bit of the ones in Alice in Wonderland. I love the fly's wing pattern.

ah yeah, I had that problem as well... but I put Lucy and her family on here anyway
still there is a LOT of things people on DA aren't seeing of my hell franchise. Like the merchandise that is in production *stares at Zombie Woman hula girl ornament*
that and my D&D crap

Wow, you made an ornament out of ZW?! That's EPIC!!
That's fair enough. Actually Zombiella is migrating gradually from the MvA world to the world of my cartoon charaters...

cool ^^ originally Lucy was a staple in one comic and then I wanted to do more with her and then Z.W. became the staple of a staple

The characters I did were originally for my Media Studies GCSE coursework but I liked them so much that they developed...and more followed!
