Yes it is an Alternative Universe graphic novel. Very well done! I really wish that he would get an acct here.
I even tried to bribe him with a subscription...

Yes yes it would. I think they just didnt have the ideas. I mean no mirror Q no Borg. When they did the later stuff (not counting Enterprise) they didnt have the panache of the early stuff
