Francois Walthery's Natacha knew she was going to be on the Air France flight from Paris to Cairo. She just didn't know she was going to be making the trip in the baggage compartment.

One of the skills a cartoonist or comic book artist should have is the ability to convey the story visually. A litmus test of this is whether a person can get the gist of the story solely through the pictures, without reading captions or dialog. Well, Francois Walthery is one of the masters of that skill. In spite of my inability to read French, I have been able to enjoy 18 volumes of Walthery's industrious little bombshell, Natacha, and it ain't just because she's got a nice pair of legs. His ability to combine attractive character designs, intelligent plotting(with the help of GOS and others) and adept visual storytelling has earned him my admiration.

To you, Monsieur Walthery. You have my thanks.
