Description
Fluorine is a Group 17 element. Fluorine is the most electronegative and reactive of all elements. It is a pale yellow, corrosive gas, which reacts with practically all organic and inorganic substances. Finely divided metals, glass, ceramics, carbon, and even water burn in fluorine with a bright flame. Until World War 2, there was no commercial production of elemental fluorine. Atom bomb projects and nuclear energy applications made it necessary to produce large quantities of fluorine since isotopes of uranium can be separated through the gas diffusion of UF6. Reasonably safe handling techniques for fluorine are now available and one can transport liquid fluorine by the ton. Compounds of fluorine with noble gases such as xenon, radon, and krypton are known. Elemental fluorine and the fluoride ion (in quantity) are highly toxic.Description
This is part of AP123's great giant collab idea
This started out with a bunch of individual elements. The nebula was much larger and had more detail, but I couldn't get it to work well with the whole scene. The planets were created when I was just screwing around.
I'm still a "n00b" when it comes to space art, but I think I'm starting to make some progress
Special thanks go to who took all my bitching and moaning and helped out. This project would have gone seriously wrong without critiques and tips from him

Just start small, don't make your goals ridiculously high or you'll just end up disappointed. This deviation is actually pretty bad if you ask me and I'm trying to improve Its always about improving.

Well I have considered it but most of my pictures aren't made at a high enough quality. You can buy Synergy now, I think.

Damn that's cool, I really like the explosion or whatever it is, the nebula/clouds go around it very well.
Planets are pretty good as well, but the overall colouring of the piece is probably the best part.
You sure about Fluorine being the most reactive element? I thought the reactivity series went K, Na, Ca or something like that. To my knowledge the 10 most reactive elements are, in order; Potassium, Sodium, Calcium, Magnesium, Aluminium, Carbon, Zinc, Iron, Tin, Lead.
Random side note

Heh, my chemistry knowledge is below average

Yeah ... doesn't matter, it was a random side rant and completely besides the point.
Anyway, the piece was really well coloured, well done.

Yay for chemistry geekness!
Though I have to say that my favorite elements are copper and argon. o_0
Very cool. I envy your space art, anyway...
