Fantastic shot, was this taken all the way in back by the cow fields?? I've seen a hawk and a kestrel there recently but I never had the light on my side..I'm from jacksonville and try to make it to viera every chance I get.

Thank you! Actually it was along the northern fence behind the pine trees. Make sure you look in that direction I have taken some of my best shots along that fence.

Wow! Thank you! I noticed somrthing while looking at the other entries, and that is that there are two other features this month taken at the same reserve Viera Wetlands, and the other two are [link] and [link] That place is awesome it was just on Nikon's "Birding Adventures". Which is a great show if you haven't seen it. Thanks again!

Oh how I'd love to visit there!! Viera Wetlands is certainly on my to-do list. From what friends told me, the birds in Florida even let you get a bit close...
