I think anyone would hide, if a man as tall and thin as tree was after them. But you can relax. He's not real. Regardless of what the scared, hyper creative and super anxious people say.
I've done a lot of research about the 'Slenderman' myself, and there's no proof that he's real. It's a scary story made up to make kids, pre-teens and teens behave.
Santa Clause as well, was actually based of this old man in Germany, who'd take naughty kids and punish them. He wouldn't give the good kids gifts either. That was real, and a man that actually existed, but of cause he's dead by now. x3 It was a loooong time ago, haha.

Not necessarily.
Think about it, if you use the right words, you can find a bunch of pictures of guys wearing suits. You can splotch those guys onto a picture with kids or a forest on it, but it don't make slenderman real.
All 'photos' of Slenderman are fake/edited/photoshopped.
