There is a subtle beauty in this piece that is hard for me to put into words, but since I'm writing a critique, I will try! First, I like the recurring theme of the checkerboard transform that is evident is all sizes and color throughout the piece.
Second, the running lines break up the fractal and lead you eye around to different parts to show you some of the goodies offered. Viewers, this is a must on Full-View!
Third, I like the choice of colors with a little red thrown in for contrast in coloring. Very nice.
What I want to commend the artist on the most is their deviation away from typical fractal shapes. There are a few spirals, but most of what you see is movement of transforms, colors, and abstract shapes. I like to fractals that step out side the norm.
One thing I do want to point out is that colors do seem a little blow out in places, and maybe some post-processing could take of that. I know it's hard to control colors like that in Apophysis. Otherwise, the lighting of the piece works very well.
