Thunderball (1964)

My vote for greatest of the Connery Bonds. It still had all the formula and memorable performances of the previous films but the sheer spectacle and grandeur of the climactic battle under the sea was truly groundbreaking. There could be no radio communication underwater between the stuntmen and directors- it all had to be rehearsed on a barge above water and then acted out in the silence beneath the waves. It all worked flawlessly and created what must surely be considered the pinnacle of the early 1960s Bond spectacular.

And Kim looks great in that wetsuit.
