This is Soleil. I made her purely because I've been wanting to make a character with my favorite French word. But I found a nice next gen couple because I honestly couldn't think of any other ponies to ship Celestia with. ;;;
I am going against what canon may have us think about Sunburst relationship with Starlight, and shipped him with Celestia instead. After the event in the Crystal Empire, Celestia had noticed the talent of Sunburst, and realized that her magic school system was flawed to exclude his skill. He just has a tad bit of stage fright is all. Celestia decided to make him the student of herself, to teach him how to gain control of his power and help him study. She saw a lot of Starswirl (Her first lover) in him and soon fell in love. After their wedding, he became the newest court mage and took up the responsibilities that Starswirl held once. Months later, Soleil was born into the newest royal family.

Soleil was born into the Celestial royal family. She was the most beautiful child, and the mark on her face soon became a trendy icon throughout aristocratic Equestrian society. She was put into fashion modeling, after admiring the attention she got from it, however, deep within she knew this wasn't what she wanted. She had earned her cutiemark after creating a spell with her father that allowed ponies in low light places to grow plants through synthetic sun rays created via magic. A shinning example of her curiosity and brilliance. She is at the moment stuck in modeling, but cannot wait for the day where she is set free. Being born into a royal family is also difficult because of the amount of expectation placed on her socially. She would rather be a scientist than a model or the heir to the throne.
