Description
Hey guys, I apologize for the lack of streams this week. I really wanted to finish up TGP vol. 2, but one of my lovely axolotls was injured, and I have been caring for her. But don't worry, She appears to be healing well. Send her some love!Related content

She won't. Axolotls remain in a neotenous state unless there is human interference in the form of gene-manipulation. The idea that an axolotl in shallow water will turn into a salamander is merely a myth.

Interesting! I just find it strange and fascinating that one thing can turn into a completely different animal (Are they different animals? I'm not sure). To me, that's like if I fed a person cubes of silicone for a few weeks and one morning I woke up and found that they became a rhinoceros.
I'm glad your axolotl is feeling better, by the way. Here's to regeneration of limbs (also a cool thing that animals do)!

Gene manipulation? I thought they just needed to be fed iodine?

I tend not to count that method cause thats super inhumane, unless of course you're using your axolotls as lab animals, in which case, do whatever you want I guess. Axolotls forced to metamorphose in that way tend not to live to their expected lifespan.
