I love the cute expression that she has. The bright on her eyes and that smile are the details that make her really adorable 
The colors for the character as well as the background are really nice to me. They have a nice effect to show the difference between the light and the dark. The technique that you used for the shading is smooth and gives a nice transition between it and the base color. Also, I can see that on the hair the effect that you used gives a realistic appearance. Is the best effect besides the eyes.
