A quick doodle to itch my doodle itch and also to showcase to a friend the height scaling of Scruffs (As in the original concept for them, being they are small plush toy like creatures who can't talk but speak high pitch gibberish. Not the tall, human height ones from here:www.deviantart.com/grumpyi3unn… . Or the one Kiley is apart of.) compared to a human from my universe.So the characters you see here are of my new character Rufy (roofee) (right) and an old one,Monopop (left). Rufy was born out of what originally was a normal Terraria session to something of a modded session between me and my project partner and friend on our own private server. And by modded, it's only swapping a few sprites of ones we made and swapping and adjusting a few of the sound effects (on my part). The character evolved as we progressed and became what is seen here, the first ever recording of a human child born from a Scruff and human parent, at least that's the initial lore I gave her. She's all white skined like a normal scruff and has the distinct pink cheek blush marks of a few scruffs. With her clothing (being modeled off what I see her wear in the server and the sprite swap I made for her head) having the color scheme of black and red, with a few glowing red accents like her headphones and eyes. I know, I could've colored it to showcase this, but this is just a quick doodle to showcase height scaling.
Now Monopop is an old one. This was a scruff I doodled a long time ago on one of my older sketch pads and sorta forgotten up until my friend reminded me about a top hat Scruff. To which I thought he was referring to Topper then after he explained a bit, something clicked in my brain. The original design for them was just a hat and a cane along with upward ears pointing inwards, and then the redraw of them afterwards was them wearing a tuxedo now and having a monocle. The version of them here is the second redraw version. The character itself never had a name originally (At least not written down), but we both settled on the name Riley. One due to him being so adamant at how he clearly remembered that I have scruff named Riley, which I never had by the way. And two the traveling merchant from the game also had the name Riley, which is where we intended for this scruff to be modded into to replace (Also the reason for the picture too.)

That certainly is quite the height difference (especially with those boots of hers adding to it with the extensions) is she in her teens in this?
Love both Riley and Rufy's designs, the monocle is such a great touch, so is that scarf, great shading too
your doodle sheets make me want to unearth some of my old drawings from years ago that I never uploaded to DA. certainly feels like a waste not showing them off, especially since I'm planning to incorporate some of them into my story (whenever that may be)

Indeed they are. I actually do plan on just fusing the tall ones together into the whole base scruff species to simplify things. Since they can literally just be anything. And they don't have any particular back story to each one of them, or in other words a set backstory (except for one). As their roles can change each time. So they're fun, confusing but fun. But I will say though, the scruff I mentioned having like a set backstory to them are not shown here in this picture. It's Floppy from the other picture linked in the description, who's gonna get redrawn n updated later on.
Thanks man, I just have fun doing these as I just chill and doodle. The age I was thinking for Rufy here would be around 20-23 ish. And that's also a thing to note too. Humans and most Humans who have beast blood in them hit a maximum height cap when they hit their teens. So what you have in your teen years is what you permanently have till you die you. Though there are a few exceptions to this, some beast blood can make you grow taller and go beyond the height cap of default human height.
I mean go for it. Not worth wasting and what not.

oh I see, very interesting, I imagine its like their own universe from what you mentioned in the description.
I see, is it a common breed where they live? cause I imagine it being difficult if their architecture was only tailored to the Original sized Scruffs, poor Rufy would be like a big fish in a small pond if that were the case. Its cool getting more insight to these awesome creatures.

It isn't actually, their homelands are situated on Planet Angelusse's Skyosphere layer on the Uplift Islands, though very secluded. (I take it you haven't read the text file I sent?) The only scruffs to have their own separate universe and as its' own thing are the ones Kiley and Casey Mecharagon are a part of.
Ahh, Rufy (from the planned out bio I have for her) doesn't live in a Scruff City where both these tall,small or oddly shapen scruffs live. It just so happened that some unnamed human and an unnamed scruff got very intimate with one another without realizing they produced a child out in the wild. As Scruffs in general just pop into existence when two of them have intercourse, which is nothing more of just snuggling, having really close and tight bonds with one another and having spent most of their time together. At least in the Angelusse Universe. I really need to actually put some descriptions on each type of beast and the sub classes within them that lives within the Angelusse Universe.

ah sweet I wasn't sure initially, (I just finished reading it, sorry it took me a while, the Uplift islands are probably one of my favourite locations from what I could read, also found it funny that the more I read about an area being dangerous the more I was thinking "there's going to be a racetrack here isn't there" and low and behold it was, you weren't kidding with the extreme. ) from what I read there weren't any mention of the Scruffs in the text file though I guess because it was more generalised with "beast" though the Tranquilites also caught my attention, not to mention they also live on the uplift islands, neighbours of the Scruffs from a lower level? I couldn't judge how how far apart they are from Ketlltuff Village.
Also I want to ask in greater detail about VITA_16154 because damn what a grim fate that was.....was that a new addition? cause forgive me but I do not have any recollection of this event.
I see, so they would come into existence through energy between the two parents? for example like the Chao in Sonic adventure?

Yeah it's a thing, There's a number of long courses up there though I haven't went into full detail yet. Since again, this file is gonna change and evolve once I flesh out the redraw n update characters when creating their bios and adding more places to the list that details certain areas of the planet and what not. Same goes for the Tranquilites and Scruffs, their general location hasn't been planned out yet on the planet (as I haven't made a map of the planet yet), but I just jut down ideas so I can comeback to it later on once I get around to doing the planet's physical appearance and map (at least a simplified version of it.)
For you and the rest of my watchers, yes. Since this was something I had in mind for a while now since the massive group picture from a few years ago of the characters and what not. As that planet/moon is where 4 of my characters came from and I'll go into detail as to what that was like when the planet was consuming everything and how they escaped.
Yeap pretty much actually. Except no egg forms, they just poof into existence with a cartoony "POOF!".

I see, looking forward to this seeing this map, even in a rough stage. With everything you've already written down and put into this world of yours I can imagine how hard it is to put it all together.
Fascinating, I can imagine the vehicles they used to race played a big role.
I see, I can definitely see that. Oh, by the way, Currently I recently got around to uploading my Virus species on DA, I was curious to know what you thought about them? And from a writer's perspective how well did I do with their introduction?

It's gonna be a while, since I wanna get the current batch I'm doing at the moment done so I can properly focus on it.
And they do, and it's mainly because of how that sorta "virus" quickly eats up and spreads through the planet in just in a matter of weeks.
Went and read through it a while ago. They're neat, it overall reminds me of something that came out of the SCP wiki and what not. Though I will say, I'm not the person to ask for the whole writer's perspective thing as I never really considered myself a writer at al, just somebody who creates things because they wanted to and what not. With that in mind, to me it was introduced fine with some teeny grammatical errors like the usage of " it's " and " its' ". Since when you use " It's " it's a shortening of "it is", with " its' " just being its'. But overall it's alright with me.

nice, it originally never said, but were they able to bring their vehicles with them on the ship or were they forced to leave them behind?
oh that's interesting, never read their bios but have seen a few let's plays of the game. I wanted to give their introduction a slightly horror like vibe but also a sense of curiosity of their nature. I'm currently trying to find my other drawings stored somewhere cause I drew a lot of different strands of the virus, as far as the one that was posted, I'd say their the simplified Default strand.
I see, I'll make sure to lookout for that more. That's fine, I've really enjoyed your stories and I hold your opinion in high regard so any advice you give me I really appreciate and value.

In the original idea I had whilst I was typing out the description of VITA, they did but I may or may not change it in the process of me typing their bio when I get to them eventually for the whole Redraw N Update thing.
Give them a read when you have a free time, might give you some ideas and what not on how they introduced the creatures and what not. Ahh, I see, that's neat. I guess it gets more complex more and more with the other variants?
Oh, well thanks for that. Because honestly, in my eyes, I'm typing out stuff without giving it a second thought that people will like them at all. Since again, this is usually just for my personal enjoyment, rather than for others.

Sorry no. This race is a closed universe race between me and friend. Since I originally design this beast race as a sort of thing me and him use when we want to draw something easy for animation, modeling or just general doodling when we don't feel like drawing something "complicated".
