Master Splinter looking a bit suspicious at what his sons could be hiding....I intended to upload this on Valentines Day, but as always I got sidetracked with other projects. I have a cold and took a sick day from work today, but in the late afternoon I felt a bit better and digitally colored this sketch while watching "Finding Nemo" on Toon Disney. I had a lot of trouble trying to figure out how the turtle kids' arms would look around the back of their shells. Guess you could blame their flexibility on their ninja training.....yeah, that's the ticket... I kinda like how Raphy looks a bit embarrassed and feeling less than macho.
I'm rediscovering mechanical pencils! Woot!

Aww this is great...and captures each of their personalities and emotions. There's Leo super excited to give his to Splinter, his father whom he greatly loves and admires, then there is Mickey laughing and joking around while Donny is happy and maybe a little shy and then of course Raph who seriously doesn't like mushy stuff and showing his feelings. Awesome and super cute image...I really like the whole idea and you did an amazing job!

*snicker* My Gods, that's sweet. And funny. He's got reasons to worry, considering their overall disposition... XD I just imagine the next moments of surprise and how happy he'll be. (and how Raph's gonna keep being embarrassed about the whole thing) This picture actually makes that much more vivid than a picture of the very scene would 8D or so I think.
