Description
There are many rexals who hunt with bows and arrows, throwing knives, and more such weaponry. And while she's learned how to use some of these, Evernia found she much prefers using her claws and teeth, her natural weapons, where she can let her instincts and body lead the way.
But Stags can be difficult to kill without tools. Their antlers add a level of difficulty when hunting them with this method - and the greater the prize, the more dangerous prongs there are. Many rexals who choose to hunt in the same manner as Evernia will wait until after the stags have shed. Others will try anyways, but may find their kills aren't clean - or worse: they will end up with lasting scars from their attempt.
Evernia, however, has developed a unique strategy. She realized that if she were to use her magic to grapple and pull the stag's antlers back, she could expose its neck for a clean kill without the danger of getting mauled by the points. Getting it right, though, required several months of practice - since getting it wrong could go very poorly for her.
But once she'd gotten the muscle memory down, it was only a matter of traveling out to find the perfect stag and waiting for the perfect moment to strike...
