Description
Hi,First of all thanks for looking
I've probably spent more time trying to take a decent picture than I have on the actual drawing
Details:
A3
Pencils - 9B, 7B, 2B, 2H
Graphite powder and paint brush
Blending - tissue, blending stump and paint brush
Cheers,
G
Edit: Updated the pic, hopefully it looks less 'harsh' -

Wonderful use of light and shadows! The only thing that strikes me is that her left neck isn't very clearly defined - you might want to darken it just a tad (her left neck, so on the right of the picture )
Then again, maybe that's what you were aiming for, in which case: it worked!

Looks really nice! but yes the photo could be better, maybe if you tried to change that green light in PS, it could change a lot.
But we can still see it's very well drawn!:]

Yes you can try and see if it gets better. Look under image and adjustments, I think it's call that in the English version.
No problem^^

This must look incredible in person. The detail and shading on those teeth, how they look perfectly set back in the mouth...sheesh!

Yo Skills! This is pretty phenomenal work!
Yeah, it's a struggle trying to shoot B&W work, you have to have just the right angle of the sunlight. I think scanning is best for B&W work, but if the drawing is way bigger than the scanner bed, I guess you are just right back at square one? Nevertheless, I think the photo work on it is nice, anyway. We still can see the "skills" in full effect.

Awesome job on this Graham. You should invest in a scanner, works much better than a camera in most instances. Good to see you are still drawing man! Keep it up!

Thanks man. I should get one yeah, do you have one? If so which model do you have?

golfiscool In reply to GSkills [2009-01-28 19:26:14 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I have one. Anything in my gallery that has a white background was through my scanner. I have the Canon Canoscan 8400F. I bought it a few years ago, not sure if it has been replaced with a newer model. But it works really good for me. It washes out lighter tones, but I just correct that in image editting software. I think most scanners have this problem.
