Wow this is great. The only thing that'd make it possibly better in my opinion is upping the ante on the glow from the lava (which only looks to be a few feet) below them. I feel Celestia and Chrysalis should be glowing almost as brightly as the lava on their undersides and hooves especially.
Seriously, though, you're great, and this may be epic enough for Celestia NOT to lose this time XD

Thanks! I did consider a stronger glow but I couldn't make it work, I think I had this problem of having too many / too large of a light source and it confused me, so I made it less powerful. Maybe next time!

The only suggesting I have is that your pose could be more dynamic by following a curve.
Before drawing a pose, try to draw a curve to determine the energy of the pose, and try to have most of the limbs parallel to that curve.

Speaking of Tartarus, does the emphasis go on the first "Tar" or the second "tar"?

On the first. Tartarus is the latin name for Τάρταρος , the underworld of greek mythology. As the greek word is emphasised on the first syllable, i presume that the romans adopted that too.
On the other hand, the "Tatars" were a mongolian people of riding nomads that the romans named after Tartarus because of their ferocious invasion. Strangely, they are emphasised on the second "tar".
