I've tried the game on my roommate's iPad (he's a brony in training so he was perfectly fine with it) and it's a fun little time waster. My advice though is if you're only going to drop in on a whim, assign the ponies to the shops and jobs that take a long time; that way every hour or so you can collect the profits.
Gameloft did a nice job with it, but it's one of those "free to play, pay to win" or "win by social activity and Facebook posts" games, which has me a little iffy. You can skip things by giving shards, but you only have so many, and you either get them by leveling up or on rare occasions, finding Derpy. (Yes, she's in the game too, not named and unplayable, but you find her hiding in a box, and you tap her and she gives you bits and will fly around Ponyville for a while.)
However, I am disappoint that Big Macintosh does not say "Eeyup" when you tap him, but damn it's fun to watch him dance like a boss!

As a box I need to know these things.
But they are basically the strongest cases that exist for mobile devices.
There are videos of people running over their phones with cars and having them come out unharmed while inside an otterbox.
