LOL My cats do that as well, I find that Butters gets particularly agitated from the mourning doves and Loki goes crazy when the finches are out.
I just make sure the bird feeder is filled.

Ah...the bird feeder! I attempted to hang it on Saturday (the day of this pic) but it was too heavy for the Shepherd's Hook, so I pulled a small table over and sat the feeder on that. Not one visitor!!! I guess they don't like the table plus maybe it's too close to the house, as I want to take some pics. But I will succeed!!!
But I loved seeing his face reflected in the glass like that....I shot this using manual focus also. I guess I got it right!
