I HATE when people use the movie as legit.
Example: "The real Silent Hill is Centralia, PA. Both the games and movie are based in West Virgina."

Really? Okay! Let's ignore the fact that Centralia was used as inspiration for the film version of Silent Hill.
Let's ignore the fact that in the game series the town isn't abandoned but-in fact-populated on one of the three dimensions.
Let's ignore the fact that Dahila and the cult were not witch burners but instead psycho people who were trying to bring a "god" to the earth to create "Paradise".
Let's ignore that Pyramid Head NOTHING TO DO WITH ALESSA.
Let's ignore that the games implied the setting as Maine not West Virgina.

I don't get why so many people refer to Dahlia Gillespie as a "good guy" in this movie. She doesn't save or help anybody.

I liked it as a movie, and thought it was much better than some of the other game-to-film adaptations

Homecoming and The Movie need to go fuck their mothers. They both missed the ENTIRE symbolism aspect that makes up the Silent Hill trilogy. (The Room doesn't count. I like it, but it's not a real Silent Hill game.)

When I first saw that movie, everyone in the cinema was screaming at the screen that they killed Silent Hill. And then PH got more fan-girls, and I wanted to kill them. D:
Then I was laughing at this girl at my school who played Silent Hill for the first time after watching the movie, and said that Pyramid Head tried to kill her.
No shit sherlock.

Agreed!~ People are like " 8D Narf... I like the movie. Pyramid Head was hot" And... Im just sitting there, pissed, because they fucked with the story line. They cant throw the monsters in there like that..
First off-
Game: Man VS Monster.
Movie: Man VS Town of crazy people while voiding monster.
Secondly:
Pyramid Head shouldnt have been in there. Period. I dont care how orgazmic he is. He shouldnt have been in there. He's placed in the second game with James for a reason- because he's a reflection of James. Pyramid head symbolizes pain, suffering, guilt and punishment all in one. For James Sunderland, he was a physical manifestation of his anger and desire to be punished for his wife’s death. PH abuses of common enemies, and so probably did James with his Mary or would do with Maria. A concrete vision of his killer side, that constantly follow him in order to punish his crime.

Well I've played them quite religiously, and have all the graphic novels and all the soundtracks and sound effects and cutscenes from all the games... and I liked the movie. O_o

They're way better then the RE movies, Gans did a fantastic job, and the only problems were that they switched Harry out for Rose and changed PH's purpose. There were a few other changes, but nothing that big, nothing that causes for it to be compared to the shit that Anderson tried to pass off as RE. But, how can you say the movie was boring! It was amazing... He truly did the series justice, and yeah, I've been a fan of the series since I first played... To me, Gans did a worthy job. Besides, most of the people that hate the SH movie hate it because of those issues... it's kinda like everyone dissing SH4 for no good reason....

Pyramid Head was cameoed with very little purpose, Harry was replaced with a dumb bitch named Rose, the monsters looked fake as hell, and the demonic nurses looked more like the zombies from Michal Jackson's Thriller.
