Yeah, the movie was pretty awesome! Though there were some mistakes in a film, I still liked it. It was a very funny and cool experience to see how predators literally tear their victims apart .

LOL It's funny because it's so true. Predators and action parts were awesome. Humans and plot were like... well, like that!

RIGHT??? I loved that they used their mandibles to bite! They'd never used them like that in previous films. Also, that chase/escape from the compound scene? Sheer genius. It's always awesome when they run because it just reminds you that they're powerful beings. They might be on the heavily muscled side, but man, can they run!

RIIIIGHT!!! Yes, just yes, finally! I almost ‘screamed’ in a delight in a cinema when I saw that. I was like: thanks Gooood m, finally someone decided to think about the mandibles as a a dangerous ‘natural weapon’ of a predator, hahahahaha XD XD XD
Yep! I especially liked the yautja’s flexibility and agility! Especially because all these moves were performed by a professional stuntman .

My husband had to shoosh me a few times, I was squealing and giggling so much. I don't think he'd have done that if we were the only 2 in the theater, but there was another couple.
Let's hope they'll keep up the momentum (no pun intended) in whatever Predator films they make next. Whenever THAT time may be.

My mum had to do the same a few times XD XD XD . I was gasping or even mumbling during some of the scenes, haha. And there were a lot of people besides us .
Yes, I support your idea. I myself think that yes, probably the new movie was not that perfect in some moments. But still: it was worth a try. The producers and scenarists found out what people liked and disliked in a movie, what they would like to see. And this information will help them to create a new, better movie :3 .
For example, I don’t know if you’ve already watched the new movie Venom but I’d like to compare these two movies since I’ve been waiting for both of them. Better not read the next part because there may be possible spoilers, hehe.
I liked this new movie. In some way. BUT.... I don’t really want to go watch it again in a cinema unless I’ll be invited there by my dad or mum. I didn’t like how creators changed Venom. I mean...he didn’t look that intimidating, he was not egoistic and even just a biiiit evil. I was waiting for a darker plot, for the loss of beloved people (like Eddie’s ex-wife or someone else). As a result, I got a teenage version of Venom . And this role would better fit another symbiot called Toxin but let’s move on our topic.
Now let’s talk about Predator. I was expecting gore, fight between two predators (even if it’ll be a veeerrry short one), people interacting with predators’ technology, new ‘lore’, easter eggs. And The Predator gave me all of that. Seriously, I was not left disappointed (of course there were some minor things which still kinda look ‘suspicious’ to me, haha, but I GLADLY went to the cinema to watch it again (I even suggested to do it, no one invited me))) . God, the easter eggs were astonishing. I squeaked loudly when I saw the son of agent Keith, I’m not even talking about those jokes which were meant for the xenophiles .

They can certainly spot fans of the franchise, and I'm sure it happened in other theaters, too.
Agreed, this film may not have been perfect, but it was certainly entertaining. The action sequences, the costumes (btw, I'm really glad they did have the authentic costumes for the most part and didn't use as much CGI for the Predators), the technology and the humans interacting with it, and the easter eggs were all what I was hoping to see in the film. However, I have read that there were some parts cut from the final edit that might have helped the third act make more sense. I wonder if the director was able to really really show the film he had in mind if we would have seen something different. I'll probably go see The Predator again in the theater with some friends or even just myself.
I think what I'm worried about is if they take too much time in between this film and the next and how that could affect what kind of story they choose to tell. There are several stories I would like to see in the future, so please forgive the length of my discussion:
1) They could set a film in the future where a group humans actually encounter the Predators in space or on a different planet (not like in the 2010 film) sort of like with the first Alien film. And this type of setting could be explored to see what would happen OR if there was another much worse alien race that was a threat to both humans and Predators. I foresee a team-up to eliminate the enemy, one of the best parts of AvP in my humble opinion.
2) There's been several fairly well-known Predator and AvP novels released over the past decades, one of the most well-known trilogies being AvP: Prey, AvP: Hunter's Planet, and AvP: War. Basically, over the course of the trilogy, readers watch Machiko, a human woman, become initiated into a Predator/Yautja clan as a warrior but also see her struggles to be fully accepted by them since she's technically a prey species. I'd like to see a writer work with this trilogy as inspiration.
3) Take the human element out ENTIRELY. Just show us a story about the Predators in their own environment whether that's on their home world, space stations, or clan ships. Tell a story of the dangers they face on their world and why they've become the ruthless hunters/warriors they are now.
Just some ideas that roll around each time there's a new Predator or AvP film.

Oh, I see. But I’m still glad that you were able to see it in a cinema because I think that it’s better to watch such films on a ‘big screen’ .
O ma gad XD XD XD That’s so truuuee
You are not weird. Actually, I didn’t like the Ultimate/Assassin Predator the first time I saw him XD . But...I have to admit, I liked him more the next times XD.
