So this is as much an excuse to design this outfit as it is for the prompt. I originally had NO idea except to show how Jewel has changed over her life, but then it came to me. Error's got the biggest aversion to change next to Jewel. Perhaps even more so. And with his outfit getting destroyed in like, chapter... what 13 and not letting anyone bother to make him a new one (Ink offered to replicate it, and he outright denied it) I figure, well... Jewel mentioned being able to make clothes early in the chapters when he made the plush puppet of her. Figured it was about time to focus on it!

And if you read the latest chapters, while Jewel was in LustGold, she took advantage and started making a new outfit. However, it's not quite done. She feels it isn't... personal enough for Error so she waits until she can get some of his string to embroider it with, to make it more attached to him.

The embroidery takes place after an issue that winds up revealing itself. So this outfit not only symbolizes a connection between them, but how they overcame the most difficult problem that could ever appear between them, and nothing else could drive them apart. Because this problem almost ended their friendship.

As for the design... well, I wanted to incorporate hobo Error's design into it, but I also wanted to keep it different. Error starts out the story in his jacket and shorts as that was his original design. Hobo Error, however, is a design for an original story so as much as I like it, I didn't want to just... have him take that look either.

So I sort of gave him a new outfit based on it. Don't worry, the scarf comes later. Jewel can't knit or crotchet, despite Error trying to teach her. Blueberry is going to make the scarf and Error will accept it as an apology and incorporate it into his outfit. Blueberry and Error will eventually become pretty good friends by the end of this, it's just... gonna take some talking.

The scene itself is right after Jewel presents him the outfit and he puts it on at her insistence (she looked away while he changed, of course, anti void has no walls, lol). It feels comfortable, but he's not sure exactly how he feels about it. It's a gift from her, and after their fight, so of course he wants to keep it, but it's different... She even made him a new shirt, plus the jacket and pants. (he still only has his slippers, lol) So as he's standing there, trying to figure out how he feels about it, Jewel turns and says what's in the bubble.

Error starts glitching out, embarrassed, flustered. She's gotten into this habit of calling him her prince and it just stirs something in him. He feels undeserving of such a nickname and has tried to get her to stop, but she won't. Then to add in that she called him handsome with it? Yeah, he's about to crash lol. Too much change going on!
