Description
a 'thank you' picture for beacuse he gifted me a year sub! he requested i draw Ruby Heart, who is the main character in Marvel vs. Capcom 2. She's a French pirate, how hot is that?i've taken some 'artistic liberty' with her costume... and no, she might not be wearing any pants
technical specs: pencil line art, coloured in adobe photoshop CS2 using a wacom intuos3 6x8 tablet. reference for pose: [link] photo textures from *robotnicc and [link]

Pirates. Fuggin! RAWK!
I just love your style too. It's messy and at the same time so clean and beautiful. I love the texture and the whimsical gesture. Really nicely done. Good stuff!

"It's messy and at the same time so clean and beautiful." that's such a perfect way of describing it, thanks! it's like... gestural yet clean. thanks again!

One of the things that your work always makes me think of is paint dripping. I forget who that guy was that tried to pass it off as art, but it's like all your colors seem messy when looking at it close up, but when you get far enough away to really observe it, it sets it off. Plus maybe not wearing pants is ALWAYS good.

haha, you mean Jackson Pollock with his abstract expressionism?
but i get what you mean - it DOES look real messy till you step back, haha. i don't like things to be TOO 'proper', ya know?

So goood to see new guava-juice being posted! I absolutely love her face, it's so calm and pretty, love the sea and the sky, too~ mmm
Her feet look so funky inside those boots! And they look foot-sized and believable.. haha, it's harder than it looks i reckon! Textures really finish this picture off The small details are great!

hahaha, yes, i was almost starting to think i'd run dry of juice
i'm golad you like her face, i find them the hardest part sometimes and yes, i'm kind of moving away from hard-out cartoonness... with teeny tiny feet
i wish i had smaller feet :\

ooh dang, me too
they didn't 'stock' my size the other day, which in other words was "please leave, bigfoot"
haha, naww i'm not abnormally huge.. size 8ish which is a size 9 in aus! dunno about NZ thou.. do they have the same sizes as aussie-land?
you're doing very well moving away from hard-out cartoonness; her legs actually look as if they have muscles and shape inside, yet still keeping your style

H.O.T.
love her crazy wild locks, and bigass hat!
I'm lovin' this style so much, it looks so much like textured watercolor paper, but you can do so much with photoshop. very nice. <3

Aw, I like how the texture. It reminds me of a pirate map and makes it seem older, more aged. I also like how the booty is next to her booty. DX bad joke

hahaha, thanks! yeah, a friend of mine made some kind of rude comment about howit looks like
she has poo'd out those gold coins - or found a new way of smuggling it, or burying it, or something else gross. MAN boys suck!

Ooh, very sexy. It always amazes me how you can make a digitally colored image look like it's watercolor on really nice textured paper.
