yes, I think our Motherland and anyone and anything connected to it means a lot to Poles, I think it's the most important thing in our lives. Our history is so tragic that it can't be other way.

Oh, wow. It is same to United States when the terrorists attacked New York City's Twin Towers. A very tragic day for us.

I remember that day. I was in such a shock, we were really saddened here, I remember I was alone at home and I cried. I was 11.
now it's worse because their were all Poles, and the were the most important people in Poland. Everyone knew them, so it's worse - as far as you mourn over thousands of people killed in 9/11, you have never seen their faces, it's worse when you look at all these people here in the tv, they are showing their photos constantly...
don't get me wrong, I'm not saying 9/11 was less tragic, but for now, I'm in such a deep sorrow, and this particular tragedy affects my country directly...

Yeah. I was only ten years old at the time. I remember being scared. I couldn't understand it. I thought some of our hometown (Rochester, NY) skyscrapers can be hit like that. But they weren't. I was only 10. And, yeah, because Poland is a smaller country and United States is a big one.
I didn't get you wrong at all. I totally understand. What happened on 9/11/01 was tragic to us because it "hits" home. The same case with you for your Polish country.

yes, and there were those lights all the way for like almost half a km... People are amazing and know that we need to unite right now.
