Imagination can be a wonderful thing.

For the backgrounds (except the interior of the lingerie store, which is original), I traced over some photos of a mall I used to visit frequently. That was the setting I envisioned in my head when I came up with the idea for this comic, but man, are there so many little details you don't notice until you have to draw them. By the time I was done colouring all the little plants and whatnot, I didn't want to spend any more time coming up with background characters that would be barely visible anyway. So you'll just have to imagine that there are big Christmas shopping crowds just off panel. Then, I blurred the backgrounds to make the foreground stand out more, and because they looked mediocre at best. Still, I hope they enhance your enjoyment of the comic.
