Description
Pencils on strathmore 400 artboard.Done back on 2004 just for fun... since I always got to draw Armada, Energon... but very rarely G1!!

Usually I like the standard #2 pencil (HB) on any heavy weight smooth art board: "Strathmore 400" smooth art boards or "Fabriano tecnico 6"- it's fast smooth and don't damage the paper.
However sometimes I'll use harder or softer leads (range between 2B up to 2H) depending waht I have to draw.
For example for concept sketches 2B works great on copy paper (softer lead are better on cheaper paper).

Whoa, awesome. I especially like the mouth detail. Everybody always draws teeth and tongues but this is nicely mechanical. Kudos.
