An unused concept sketch I did for the upcoming series "All Hail Megatron": a modern days cassette recorder Soundwave!(because microcassettes and recorders still exist).
Well, at least it's good as fanart

I love the look. I love the new alt mode. I love this new Soundwave. The great thing with a mini-recorder is that every journalist out there still uses them. Great way to sneak Soundwave into lots of areas with high value... um... targets.

Well, you made a believer out of me. I think the thought's crossed my mind before, but I never gave it any really serious thought-- But I'm so glad you did, now.
Which just leads me to join the rest in wondering why they wouldn't use this in AHM; it's no more drastic than what they've done with the likes of several of the others: Hot Rod, Hardhead, and of course, Headmaster Sunstreaker.
Hasbro really needs to see this for Classics. They're making a new Ravage for it, right? So why not?

This is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. I would love to see this as a Classics/Universe Soundwave. Way better than MP3wave.

In my mind you cannot have Transformers without certain characters. Obviously Megatron and Optimus Prime are two, but others are: Starscream, Jazz and Soundwave.

yeah this would have looked good if you used it. i like the rendering of the alt mode. reminds me of the marker product rendering i did when i was in school. very cool.

With the offcenter glass front, he makes me think more of Blaster now. Also, even though they no longer seem to serve the same purpose, glad to see you kept the essential crotch buttons.

This definitely beats the Soundwave mp3 players and that car thing that're running around! I don't understand why they didn't use it though, I mean, they've updated all the Seekers and a bunch of other characters, so why not Soundwave. I personally think this looks amazing and almost exactly like the older version.
