An unused concept sketch I did for the upcoming series "All Hail Megatron": a modern days cassette recorder Soundwave!(because microcassettes and recorders still exist).
Well, at least it's good as fanart

Cool, if he'd been considered in the movie, he'd have to have something like a big speaker or Amp/Recording device, maybe even a TV camera or a other television broadcast device(which might make since if Megatron/Starscream wanted not just take out the Military but the civilian population as well, can use say Hypnotic TV?).

Well actually he'd have to something really large and mobile, because of the matter consistent rule they're applying to the movies for proper realism. I think he should be something like a hypersonic jet, and when in robot mode he can fire concentrated hypersonic air blasts or something

Those are cool ideas,LoL, from what I've read he's going to be, or might be a heavy built van thing, with one of the concentrated sound speakers on the top of it.
A prototype no kill weapon, that's being built for U.S. Navy ships and SWAT teams in real life.
Also the Transformers Scrip Treatment as been leaked at scribd.com, It's a very good read.

No Kill? Decepticons? They go together as well as Megatron and a pink tutu.
Soundwave has always been keen about stealth(look what he turned into in the first Ep of the series and what he did a lot of times on earth(you would think after the first time they see him transform they would be suspicious of all tape players just "left alone")) and support operations(be it energon supervisor or having Ratbat, Rumble, and Laserbeak be the original "one bot army"(as "carry on" maybe?) sorry Sixshot). Frenzy was the "mole" gaining access to of all places Air Force One's computers/linkups(seems no one learned anything from the 80's nor the movie "Air Force One" in being extra careful about What's/Who's on the plane). Maybe a TV Van? with his "army" as the mobile equipment(TV cams, etc...). Considering that most of the military focus on defense would be looking at any unknown/extra equipment, not a TV truck used by a national/local new crew(and they could even get into places the White House or even Air Force One again(!)).

I don't know if your mad at me, or what? but those are just rumors I've heard, and the "no kill weapon" well you can make it kill, and shatter buildings based on frequency, the military is trying to make a none violent weapon, but who's to say the Decepticons won't.

No just saying that the most a Con would think of a human is "organic, Waste"(and Megatron illustrated this in the Movie by "flicking away" people). Using a weapon that would only make them flee but maybe come back later if it was "off" isn't as good as blowing away some unit/division "setting an example" and watching the mayhem ensue. That leaves a more lasting message in saying "we kill on sight and have bite" not "Bark". I mean you can hear a dog barking and fear what it may be, but seeing a nasty Doberman Pinscher or Pitbull or worse staring at you, teeth displayed in all their numerous and pointy glory makes you not want to even be on the same block as that house is. That can be seen as well a bunch of small dogs have nasty sounding barks, you have that not knowing and want to know what's behind that door, on the other hand "seeing is believing".

Ya, I kinda want to see the concentrated sound thing go through, because I'd shit myself if I say some robot pointing at a fellow human, and he started screaming in pain, and his head blew off, or slowly bleed out. Think sonic boom in a controlled manner. And the weapon is real bad ass, sorry I don't know the name of it.

Nazi's tried to make a sound cannon that would kill(but hey what didn't they try to make?). The US has a directional Sound tech that was used on a cruise ship to fend off pirates, so maybe thats what your talking/thinking about. More likey he would cause unconsciousness or a blood vessel to pop(leading to death or a life of drool and assisted bathroom care) but it being made by Bay, he would have that sort of effect in just for fun.
