Here's number two.Now, the thing about Rae running off at the end of Tails' Revenge, it was pretty spur-of-the-moment. But I know why I did it. If I hadn't everything about the ending would have been completely happy. I don't like a 100% happy ending.
And I think it was in character for him. I always though about should I have them go to Gradell in the present, or just leave that town in the past? I ended up doing not returning to it in the comic itself, but in the picture, that's just what Rae is doing. Except, as you all know, it's in ruin.
Oh, and I gave him pants, because it's fun. And I added more detail to his shoes and gloves and this landscape that were never in the comic itself!
