Earlier this morning, I got a message that a new user named kobayashi-miyu added me to their watch list. I excitedly went to the person's profile page to thank them and check out their own artwork, only to discover that this person had no artwork and yet despite this, has accumulated almost 55,000 pageviews, +1,400 llama badges,+2,500 dA points, and masses of people writing just mere seconds ago in the profile comments to thank this person for watching them. And all of this was accomplished merely joining dA only a week ago.

Yep. It was a watchbot. It's really surprising that many people didn't find anything suspicious about accumulating so many points and llamas in such a short time and as a result are getting conned so easily.

That is what inspired me to do this quick drawing. So to all you watchbots here on dA, screw you.

For a current list of suspected watchbots here on dA, check out this journal from MarikBentusi (kobayashi-miyu is listed among them). marikbentusi.deviantart.com/jo… If you have a watchbot subbed to you and you want to get rid of them, just put their name on your block list and they'll be removed from your watchers.
