Daily Sketch 04.29.2012Just pieced up my copy of Avengers Vs. X-men, which inspired this piece of the inevitable showdown between Red Hulk and Colossus. And no, I have no idea why he looks more like Juggernaut now. I suppose I'll just WIki it.

If you think that is cool, just wait to you see what happens when Peter lets the Juggernaut personna take full control. Cain never fully transformed into what Juggernaut was meant to be. Peter stays in armored form because he thinks it's the only way to keep from completely becoming Cytrroak's monster.
This is a great piece!

Rulk would kick Colossonauts arse any day. Man i love how your stuff always looks like a snapshot right in the middle of something big (opposed to, a stiff posed drawing that still haunts professional comics..)
Very very nice man!

Spoilers
Actually, Colossus was beating Rulk down pretty hard in the actual fight. Only when Pete realized that he was going to sink Utopia, did he start to power down and let Rulk punch him in the face.

I find it interesting that there are 2 Hulks... but only for the short term. And I'm not being old fashioned, I think it's cool that they are shaking up the Hulk mythos since Hulk can get very one-dimensional really quick. I just find it unsettling that Gen. Ross is a Hulk. I enjoy him more as Banner's foil.

I understand, its spitting in the face of years of mythos. I still cant help but like it though, and as ive said before, im still debatably new to comics, first hulk story i read was planet hulk. so greg paks hulk has been the only hulk i know

No, not spitting in the face. I like a good shake up. I loved World War Hulk, too!

Peter stomped Juggernaut and claimed the Jewel of Cyttorak. I think he was tired of seeing his friends beaten up by Juggs.
Colossus is getting pretty dang awesome. Last time I saw him was in the Dark Avengers... he took a shower in the contents of a gasoline truck, lit himself on fire, then proceeded to jump literally down Venom's throat.
I hates Venom I does, and have liked the big Russkie since I was a wee lil' Pollack.
Peter vs. ol' Thunderbolt Ross is a smackdown for the ages!

This is what I get for not picking up the Fear Itself crossover titles. Looks like I am missing a bunch of good stuff! Colossus is badass! Thanks for the update! (I know I can always look it up, but what's the fun in that?)

I missed Fear Itself too, but I have seen other artists do Colossonaut.

it is. From what I understand, he took the Cytorrak gem to stop an overpowered Juggernaut(who became "Kuurth: Breaker of Stone") during the Fear Itself event.
taking down a Hulk... Coloussus was always one of my favs, but by marvel standards, he really wasn't took powerful.
Now, he's a real force!

Apparently. But how does Peter feel about that?

from what I've heard, he's got mixed feelings about it all.
He gets to be a contender, but Cytorrak is a corrupting influence... it's a spirit of war and destruction, and he's being influenced by it.

Which makes sense, Peter is very pure-of-heart so there must be internal conflict. I'll have to hunt down some recent back issues.

Apparently Cyttorak gave him the power of the Juggernaut after taking it from Cain Marko!
Awesome work too.
