okay.... it's syd barrett AGAIN.I did this (and another painting) in the project-week, it was really fun

I think this is a great portrait, its captivating in a purely aesthetic sense, but also I feel it expresses a poignancy about Syd's life.

This is so good. I've just been browsing for Syd Barrett paintings, and some of them are well meaning, but just not anything like the guy. Nice to find one that's really him. Wonderful, stylish work. All your portraits are good; the subjects instantly recognizable even from the thumbnails.

What draws me to this warm and subtle picture is the outstanding color and contrast. I do like the way you used the reds, oranges, and yellows to paint the face and background of this picture. The dark hair and clothes provide a strong contrast. The way you depicted the lighting on the face is excellent.
