Thanks.. The background is a composite of approximately 10 photos, plus a substantial amount of overpainting.. The ratio is about 50/50 photo to paint.

Another excellent entry, reusing all the references of your classical touch : the monumental spires, the passing ships, the imposing landscape... but it would'nt be so good without this intriguing, almost medieval-looking city in the foreground ; wich give us something to speculate about, to begin a story with...

Looking at this piece, I feel as if frosting ash incorporates my soul totally, amidst the breath-taking panorama tacitly aggrandized by, seemingly, barren colossuses.
