"I've got to admit that this lockdown business is driving me bughouse."Richelle could only sympathize. "It's got to be done - it's the best thing for everyone."
"I know...but we even missed out on our Spring trip to Florida."
"Hey, I know - I'll get in touch with Lois and we'll have a three-way call." Marge started to reach for her smartphone. "Not that..."
Richelle Davies placed her hand on the side of Marge's face.
"Richy, I get the heebee-jeebies every time you do that."
"Just relax and close your eyes."
Marge suddenly found herself on a beautiful sand beach. The illusion was so real that she could even feel gentle breezes on her face. Lois was there with the both of them. She then turned to Richelle. "Everything is so real...is the water warm?"
"Do you want it to be?"
This started out as a completely different fantasy idea. I did want something to do with our current situation in the world, but to focus on a more uplifting direction and not a glum one. It was originally going to be them at the beach, and then this idea hit me. And it was just going to be them talking, and the beach idea hit me. Finally, the virtual Marge "beaming in" like a television image was a very last minute touch. So, at least for a little while, the friends can forget the world situation and just relax.
It wasn't long before Bart and Lisa came walking into the living room after hearing what they'd done. Bart made their wishes known. "Can you make us a candy store? A big one?"
Richy looked mockingly at Marge. "I dunno...have they been good?" Marge chuckled as she gave her nod of approval.
Richelle put out the palms of her hands. "Come here you two - a candy store it is..."

This is a very amusing and original portrayal of Richelle and her psionic powers. And giving Marge a vision of her, Richy and Lois on a sunny Florida beach is quite uplifting in view of current circumstances. And I'm very glad to learn that your pay will more than cover both you and your spouse's expenses. As for me, my artwork will be positive and uplifting, but will not mention the epidemic at present. Well done.

Thanks. I had to be careful how I mentioned it, but I did want to use it some kind of way. The important thing was not to make a humorous joke of it, as people have lost loved ones to the disease. But it is one of those things that is a part of our lives, just like a meteor hitting us or something. It's all very surreal to me, as it is to everyone else out there. Hopefully, soon enough, this will just be another chapter in history.

I can understand you're having to be careful about mentioning the epidemic. And, like you, I believe this thing will blow over soon. As artists, I feel it is our responsibility to create pictures that are uplifting and cheerful, which is just what I intend to do. I've got plenty of time since I can only go out to buy groceries. All the other places I like to visit are closed down for the duration. And I hope your next pic will be both funny and uplifting.

That's really sort of down my alley is to generate some chuckles with my art. I've had at least one person tell me that I'd given them the only laugh they've had all day - that gives me a great deal of satisfaction.

I've had similar complements on my art. Humor is mainly what I strive for, but drawing sexy cartoon ladies seems to be my main talent. And if that makes my fans happy in times like these, well that also gives me gratification and satisfaction.

I wish I could be doing that during lockdown...instead I'm still travelling to work everyday, as I can't work from home.

I'm in the same boat as you - and the work hasn't even slacked off. But I'm being paid well to be there, which helps as my wife is off of her school job.
I do love this idea. Could you imagine this as a business conference call? Richy here in these pictures is much more powerful than the one in my RPG games. That would be one heck of a long range for this sort of thing.

That's a good deal. We're the security staff at a corporate campus, and there was no way they could get by without us or the maintenance staff. We've got several buildings filled with chemicals that we've got to babysit.
