I did this because I am...ready for spring. It was warm for half of February, and we had some snow today. I'm ready to get started with the nice weather. This picture also helped to eat up a long 12-hour shift at work - I had two of them back-to-back, and the art sure helped the time to go by. My friend at work couldn't believe how quickly this was done, but it was just a simple marker piece.ΒMarge and Lois are the property of Matt Groening and Seth MacFarlane respectively.

I'm sorry to learn that Old Man Winter is now hitting the east and northeast with snow and ice.Β Spring, it seems, has come early here in SoCal.Β It's warming up here, plus the heavy rains have finally passed on.Β Still, the sandals seem appropriate for both Marge and Lois as things are warming up.Β All the ladies need now are shorts and skimpy shirts.Β Good marker work.Β Β Β Β Β

Thanks! That was one of those sketch marker pads - I kind of like that texture I get from them, but sometimes I need to help it out with a bit of airbrush. I also like the pads because they are 8 X 10 and fit well on to my scannerΒ images-na.ssl-images-amazon.coβ¦

I may just give those sketch marker pads a try, if for nothing else than they fit into the average scanner.Β I have to slice off a 1/2 inch from the edge of my Bristol board before I can scan the pic into my computer.

I too try to show my humility.Β Many times when a DA fan of mine comments on how great my artwork is, I always remind him or her that there are many other DA artists who have greater talent and skill than I do.Β And that's the truth.Β A great many DA artists are more talented than I am. Β But still, you're a very lucky man to have a woman with so many stellar qualities for a wife.
