this is actually my second attempt at drawing realism!! i think i did really well considering!!
i didn't post my first attempt yet (i will eventually though) and in that one i drew Seunghee Hyun from Oh My Girl- however, i used a picture of the real person to aid me in drawing it. this time, though, i didn't use any reference at all and made this completely from scratch! i'm so happy with how it turned out!
i took inspiration from Miku's V2 and V4 designs and sort of combined them (though i mostly went off of V2)!

First of all, this is very smooth and beautiful. The background is simple and pretty and matches the main focus! I can tell straight up that this is a very unique style that comes from you (I can see your avatar sorta matches the style!)
I enjoy the shading on her clothing a lot, it makes her look three dimensional while also making her look squishy, like normal flesh! It's so clean! I can't shade or draw this clean at all! I'm more messy.
So those were some of my compliments. Your proportions are amazing too!
As for critique, the first thing that popped to me was that her hair is super super detailed and lovely, but the rest of the shading and whatnot are more simple. It's a kinda contrast that makes it look less realistic (I read you are attempting realism). It almost looks barbie-doll like. The headbands look more or less just floating rather than going behind the hair and holding it, y'know? But I am studying it hard. At first glance and impression, you can totally tell what they're meant for and whatnot. I think that if you wanted to go for more of a realism look, to intensify the coloring of her face, such as: usually under the eyes there are small bags that can be a little reddish, and the cheeks can be read, eyelids can be red... all because there are more blood vessels there. I'm sure you've seen art where the nose is red and the eyelids are and it looks very alive. However, you have a style, so I can understand why you wouldn't over do things like that. I just think that if you are practicing realism, that there are more shadings that can be done to the face, such as eyelids, bags, the bridge to the nose, cheekbones, etc.

thank you so much!! this was a very helpful comment and you pointed out things that i could've done in the drawing that i wouldn't have thought of doing! (especially about the natural tear ducts/eye bags that everybody has, and is sometimes emphasized in east asian makeup- i totally forgot about eye bags' existence lol)
i'm really glad you like the clothing shading because i struggle a lot with shading clothes, and i'm so glad you like my proportions too! i've been trying really hard lately to have my art look more symmetrical and proportionate in terms of anatomy!
you're right about the hairbands! by the time i was drawing those i was pretty frustrated and itching to finish the drawing so i could post it on my art commission website, so next time i'll just have to try harder and be a little more patient haha
