Description I've seen this technique for rendering logos before, so I decided to try it for myself. I'm pretty happy with the result.

By the way, the effect is achieved with a 3D logo, the bottom part emits light.

Rendertimes were about 30 seconds or so.

Thanks! I might make a tutorial on this meathod sometime; it's really fast and easy, and almost always looks good.
