Don't sweat it; even in a lot of old official Nintendo art, they had it just as you colored them. they flip-flopped for a while until they settled on the "blue overalls" standard. Even the TV cartoons used the colored overalls scheme. So yeah, your art is just fine.

Oooh. My goodness, this is wonderful. Nintendoland (and it's Zelda spin-off, The Grand Adventures, and the VGF forums) was one of the first websites I frequented. A good friend of mine used to write the Deathmatches, if those are still up there... 1998 was a good year.
