My second pixel tutorial.
Well, people had ask me how i do pixel icons/avatars, to answer that, i made a tutorial. I took about 3 days to do it. Im kinda new on the whole pixel tutorial icon making stuff.. so ill try to to my best on explaining how i make them ~

most people aren't sure of what they really want in life. I received

chain letters that everyone hates. This one has been going since 1864

love for him ever since 3rd grade. Freddie D. finally had the courage
to ask
her out, and of course, she had been waiting to yes to that for years.
They grew up and
married each other to live happily forever.
Third Example:
Now if you couldn't relate to the others, this'll get ya hooked.
Listen to this. A kid named Jordan Johnson was just getting on AOL to
check his mail. He was a quiet kid, not that popular but not a geek
either. he was just normal. He saw he had mail from his friend. It was
this exact letter. Now Jordan Johnsen was a smart kid and he knew what
could happen if he didnt pass it on. He simply pulled a few friends
from his buddy list and sent it along. The next day, about that same
time, he got a phone call. It said he had won the lottery!
then his dad came home and bought him a new bike! His mom bought him
Nintendo64 and play station! His grandmother sent him a new computer,
and his best friend
gave him tickets to the concert he wanted to go to, Kid Rock and Limp Bizkit!
Then he inherited a brand-new tv from his aunt! He was goin' wild! the
next day his secret crush asked him out, and they have been going out
ever since.
Now, you heard the stories. I know which person i'd rather
be, but thats up to you. I wouldn't wanna end up like Barbra but thats
only me. We all want what we cant have but now's ur chance to go out
withthat special somebody ur waiting for. Take it or leave it. If you

1 person- you will lose all luck in ur love life..... forever!!!!!
10 people- your crush will say they like you as a friend...... ONLY!!!!!
15 people- your crush will say they like you
20 people- your crush will ask you out!
25 people- your crush will kiss you!!

Well, its all about practice.
At first i wasnt able to do animated or animals in pixels.
And it took me a while to learn :> (though im still bad at doing animals)

ah! i can't find software to dowload gif animator. help!

I used to work with one called Babarosa gif animator.
You can download it for free everywhere (goggle search it and several places for download will show up).
But my computers now work with windows vista, babarosa has no updates for that version, so due to that it had some glitches.
New versions of photoshop include animations tools, so i use photoshop and babarosa for quick animation.

Only thing I need now is one to make a body.
Can you make something like that,
just a nude body (Without 'the' details ofcourse)?
(I like a compact body, so not very stretched.)

I havent though of doing a second part for this.
A body will be to big for the 50x50 size , but who knows, maybe just the shoulders? 
I have anther tutorial [link] It shows a complete base (head and body)
Its in a smaller size for people who are looking for bases that fit the avatar size.

If someone were to want to make a person in an icon, can said person use the head as a base, but change the eye style and hair and everything if it's a different character? C:

Using the base and steps to create your own character is ok .
:] Its nice to encourage people into drawing their own things.
I had some trouble with some people editing or recoloring my other pixels and using the tutorial as an excuse.
"Its not a recolor, i just followed your tutorial and got that result" <- LOL following a tutorial and ending up with a pixel that had nothing to do with the tutorial.

Blast, the first DeviantArt pixel art I can pull a decent base from to use and it explicitly says not to steal and use as a pixel base. I will respect that.
Well... I might tinker around with it for a bit but only as more of a practice exercise than anything~

As long as you do your own characters its fine. Thats the point of it
I had a problem with a couple of people that recolored my other icons and said they used the tutorial as an excuse. But it was obvious it was a recolour.
