My third Tutorial.
This is kinda like the second part of the Head Tutorial, here i show how to draw the body. This one is larger than the previous one, and i made 2 or 3 mistakes, i hope no one notice them.................
The point of this tutorial is to show how to make your own pixel character, from your fav anime character or Oc.
The base is 50x30 so it can be used as an Avatar/Icon.
Anyway, the guy i like likes that character (Kagami, from lucky star) Its gonna be a Valentines present (im making an animation or something with her). Since i was putting some effort on making her, i decided to make a tutorial on how i was drawing her.
That means.. Please dont copypaste and upload the result as your own "creation". Try making your own characters

Edit: I made this tutorial back in 2008 I was new at pixels back then :> i know this has many mistakes and that theres better tutorials out there. (for the peeps who pointed it out via comments) But look at this as a super simple beginners guide made by a begginner at the time..

it took forever to edit it all together, I had to select the single pixels and the doubles and whatnot and match them up in line since my grid idea failed (the grid didnt exactly work) then I went over Mia in different colors to achieve the 2nd one ^w^ the tail was actually similar to the purple hair you made, but I did make that, the ears and hair myself

This is so helpful! I decided to try and make a sort of joke picture using my char Mia (my icon shows her head) and my gf's char Leah and a couple others as a sort of game joke thing *is rambling* and I had no idea how to do this, your tut was so helpful! (\v.v)\

On photoshop you can remove and save your pixels without a background (.gif or .png format)
