Description
I've been meaning to get back to this thing, and this was a nice little area to ease me into it. Here's the Temple of Time, done in four days. For the most part, it was easy, but I did have a few challenges. The front room went very smoothly until it was time to add the Door of Time. First, I had to sprite the door, which was fairly difficult, then I had to figure out how to sprite the wall around it when indoor wall tiles only go one high. Other than that, the Spiritual Stones were a little difficult, and it's always a challenge to draw a regular hexagon in paint or to sprite an octagonal shaped room. One thing that's exciting about this one is that I get to show off the other four medallion emblems I sprited way back when I did the Sacred Forest Meadow. Three warp pads down, three to go!
Hopefully I'll manage to get going on another area right away this time. I'm leaning towards Kakariko and hope I'm up to the challenge.
Update 5-1-13: Added in the back of the Door of Time's frame. Not a huge change, but I think it makes a big difference.
Update 11-12-18: Haven't changed anything, but since I'm re-uploading all of these anyway, I wanted to mention something I'm surprised I didn't say in the first place. I know this is an impossible configuration for the room, but since I drew both the Spiritual Stones and the Door of Time, I wanted to show off both in the finished map.

I had thought about it, but I wasn't really sure how to go about it. Then again, I think I had decided there was no way for me to do it and gave up on it before I made the decision to make the walls taller to accommodate the Door of Time. Maybe I can go back and put them in if I don't worry about the sunlight.

if anything just add simple windows with or without light. but even me who has rarely mapped eveer could make light from windows kinda easily. BECAUSE! think of it this way instead of relying on a grid, count about 5 pixels from the lind dividing the wall and floor then count how many more away then connect those two spots in a retangle shape then trim it down on the left (or right side when its on the other side of the room) and boom light shades

I tried it out, and I really wasn't happy with the result. Maybe it would've been less obvious if I was putting the windows on the back wall or something, but on the side walls, the windows broke the perspective that you're supposed to be looking down at the wall, with the bottom appearing narrower than the top. I could attempt to adjust the windows to fit the same perspective, but I really think that's more trouble than it's worth at this point.
