I was kind of curious when it came to Murdock and his invisible dog, Billy. In some scenes, he'd be small enough to hold and in others he'd be big and strong enough to pull Murdock along. I guess his delusions aren't consistant?Anyway, here's a few sketches I did of Howlin' Mad and his bestest buddy.
Murdock belongs to Frank Lupo, Stephen J. Cannell and the legendary Dwight Schultz.

The answer is simple, Billy is whatever Murdock needs him to be. Billy can be small enough for Murdock to hold when he needs something to hold onto, or big enough to protect Murdock if things are looking bad.
